The funny, the interesting, and the OW MY BRAIN!

I'm watching about six very adorable deer eat corn out of the container my stepdad likes to put out in the backyard. He entertains dreams of hand-feeding them one day. All I can think is that those same deer are going to make a mess of the garden in a few weeks.

Anyway, I've gotten a good group of questions for my fifteen characters meme, so here are my answers. They come in the following categories: funny, interesting, and OW MY BRAIN.

1. What sort of fanfiction would Lacey Thornfield write? What would Nanny Ogg’s opinion of it be?
I’m guessing pretty fluffy, romantic stuff, but always with a core of intelligence and sensitivity to characterization. And when you’ve got quality like that, there’s not much Nanny Ogg could complain about. But she’d prompt the odd PWP idea anyway.

2. Wendy Watson walks in on Kaylee Frye and Jayne Cobb kissing. Exactly how awkward is it?
Heh, actually, not all that awkward, probably. Assuming Kaylee’s not involved with Simon at the time. And I guess that this kissing activity was- well, consensual, which, well, with Jayne...

3. Sam Vimes, Claude Rains, Neal Caffrey and Ted Crisp live in a house together. Do they get along? Do fights break out? Do any awkward love triangles develop?
Wow, that’s quite a collection of gentlemen right there. I’m sure Sam wouldn’t approve of Claude or Neal’s larceny, but they’d probably be on the make to be sharing a house with him. Ted would probably just try to keep his head down as much as possible, though- ah, is it weird that I could see a thing developing between him and Neal?

4. You open your door to find Noah Bennet standing there. What is your reaction?
Stunned silence, followed by a nervous, “Dropping off or picking up?” If the latter, I might hear him out, or I might run as far and fast as I can.

5. Both the Ninth Doctor/Major Henry West and the Ninth Doctor/Veronica Palmer are hugely popular pairings. What points do both sides make in the inevitable enormous 'shipwars?
Uh... Firstly, OW MY BRAIN. Secondly, I think I discussed with someone how Nine and Veronica would interact- the consensus was not well. Her almost complete disregard for anyone’s well-being but her own, her rampant greed, and devotion to her own commercial success- yeah, not winning any points with the Doctor. And then there’s Major West. Somehow I don’t think the marked resemblance is going to endear him any more to the Doctor when he finds out about the attempted gang rape. But, okay, fine, for the sake of argument... Well, hate!sex, I guess. Epic, epic hate!sex. And, uh, I guess you’ve got the slash and the het contingents making their separate cases.

6. Would you rather be stuck in a lift with Rorschach or Mozzie?
Oh god, Mozzie, please! Rorschach’s a fascinating character, but I have no desire to be anywhere near him physically.

1) What is Lacey Thornfield's favorite movie?
Um, jeez, I dunno... Something too obscure and awesome for me to know of. Or maybe Keira Knightley’s Pride and Prejudice.

2) What would happen if Kaylee Frye and Ted Crisp were locked in a tiny room together?
Oh dear, I don’t know, possibly a little sumpin-sumpin, if Kaylee plays her cards right and Ted’s not worrying about Rose.

3) What is the Ninth Doctor's favorite band?
Wow, I have no clue. Uhh, a little jazz quartet in Chicago, 1928? No! I know- Disaster Area, plutonium rock band from the Gagrakacka Mind Zones, largely considered to be not only the loudest rock band ever, but the loudest sound of any kind ever. (For more information, see The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams)

4) What is Claude Rains’ ideal man/woman/whatever applicable?
*snooort* Well, whoever they are, you can bet they aren’t a scrawny, pale, doe-eyed, funny-lipped, silly-haired empath with a downright dangerous attachment to people who mean them serious harm more often than not.

5) What kind of pet would Veronica Palmer best like to have?
Ha, pet rock. I think she knows better than to put herself in charge of the well-being of another living thing.

6) What was Wendy Watson's first word?
Got me. Zombie?

7) What would Jayne Cobb and Noah Bennet's child look like?
OW MY BRAIN! This is especially awkward, as it’s my personal canon that Sandra is Jayne’s great (times whatever) grandmother, which makes Noah his great (times whatever) grandfather. But, okay, sake of argument... Very tall, well-built, brown hair, probably blue eyes (Noah’s eyes are blue, right?), a toss-up whether he’s got Jayne’s hot head or Noah’s cool one.

8) How old was Nanny Ogg when she lost her virginity?
Ha haa- wow. Um, realistically? Friendly farm girl with no illusions about sex but a lot of curiosity? Probably something like thirteen or fourteen. Maybe even twelve.

9) How will Neal Caffrey die?
Awww, I don’t want to think about that! Well, possibly he doesn’t quite outrun the consequences of a caper, possibly he gets pancreatic cancer or something at the age of eighty-two.

10) What is Sam Vimes' worst nightmare?
Jeez, um, I guess pretty much anyone from his work that isn’t a copper causing trouble for Sybil and Young Sam.

1. Wendy Watson and Jayne Cobb or Wendy Watson and Rorschach... which is the better couple?
Oh wow, that's a little OW MY BRAIN. I guess Wendy and Jayne? Because Rorschach and anyone (except Daniel) is... inadvisable. Not that I see Wendy and Jayne getting along... at all...

2. If the Ninth Doctor, Sam Vimes, and Mozzie lived together, what would happen?
You know, I see them all staying very carefully out of each other’s business, quite honestly.

3. Claude Rains' favorite activity.
Ha, ummm, no comment.

4. Lacey Thornfield's dream job.
Hm, maybe a fashion designer using all organic, cruelty-free materials and with all proceeds going to her various worthy causes.

5. Kaylee Frye's dream guy/girl.
Aw, well, he or she (I see Kaylee being flexible on that) would have to appreciate a good engine, maybe enjoy music and, of course, ripe fruit. On the attractive side, but preferably not too much more so than Kaylee herself. They should have a ready sense of humor and close family ties.

6. If Noah Bennet went to college, what degree would he have?
Noah Bennet double majored in BAMF-ery and Moral Grayness. Everyone knows that.

7. If Neal Caffrey and Nanny Ogg starred in a show together, what would be the plot?
Ha, um, Neal fending off Nanny’s increasingly blatant come-ons? Or... maybe a young Neal learning the con trade from the sweet elderly Nanny.

8. Major West, Ted Crisp, and Veronica Palmer are in a love triangle. How does it play out?
Ha, this is the second time Veronica and West have been put together in a romantic setting. I’m actually starting to consider the pairing... Anyway, I’m a dirty slasher, so I’m imagining West and Veronica both going after Ted here (Ted does canonically attract the military types). Unfortunately West creeps Ted out, and though that doesn’t erase Veronica’s flaws, he lets her help him escape the major’s interest. Afterwards, who knows? Maybe she normals off a little and they can try for more than just a one-time office affair.
