Anyway, reviving an old meme, because it's a good one.

1. Kix by The Real Tuesday Weld
Naughty little break-up song. Has a fun jazzy sound to it.
2. Lucas with the Lid Off by Lucas
There are very few rap songs I can tolerate. I love this one.
3. Instant Pleasure by Rufus Wainwright
Something about this song just puts a smile on my face. Really assertive and fun. Nice rhythm to it too- good for walking around if you can keep a straight face while Mr Wainwright demands to be given sex whenever he wants it.
4. Portrait by Duke Special
I really like the old-timey, honky-tonk sound this song has. I only have the one right now, but I'm going to check out more of their stuff very soon.
5. Last Way Out of Here by Paloalto
I recently got around to importing the album this song is on (Heroes and Villains). I'm having so much fun rediscovering how great it is.
6. Different People by No Doubt
Ahh, hear No Doubt before they became... whatever the heck they are now, I don't even know.
7. Lupe Brown by The Fratellis
Where do I even start with how much I love this song? I can't, it's just perfect.
BONUS TRACK: Occapella (Have a Beer) by Slavic Soul Party!
Came upon these folks while reading a fanfic, actually. I wasn't blown away by most of their stuff, but this is very nice- a weird, silly, gorgeous mix of Eastern European melodies and New Orleans jazzy bluegrass.
And- what the hey- while we're on the subject of awesome music:
