stuff that isn't fanfic

Not that I'm done with that- oh goodness no *eyes three ideas waiting to pounce*. Oh jeez. Anywho, hi! It was so lovely and warm out today, I went clothes shopping! And not with a very specific solitary item as my one and only goal! I had a coupon that expires today, so I ended up getting a really nice skirt that I don't know when I'm going to wear and some other stuff.

Otherwise, I really enjoyed the latest Once Upon a Time episode. It was really properly scary at times, like when they found the massacred hunting party. I think the dialogue was a bit better than usual too. And, maybe I'm easy (read as: yes, I am easy), but I didn't see the twist coming much at all. I was 70% covinced Granny was the wolf. I guess I wasn't wrong, but I didn't think Red would be one too. And I definitely didn't think she would tear apart poor Peter! Holy crap! And then, in Storybrooke, Ruby and Emma's team-up was kind of adorable, at least as cute as Red and Snow's. I wish she'd stuck around the station for a while longer. But, anyway, yay for female character-driven television, huh? That's definitely a big plus for OUaT, to me.

Also, I watched the second season of Luther. That was good, needed more Alice, and I'm sure if Luther has to go after another skinny white boy killing people for sick thrills it'll be too effing soon. I guess there were only the two big cases, but still- the twins could've been related to the mask guy, they looked so similar. And their motivations really didn't seem to differ beyond "LOOK AT ME I'M SPECIAL." Once again, Luther impresses me with its acting and intensity, I mean Idris Elba's a god come on, but kind of loses me with the plots that are pretty darn derivative.

Also also, Walking Dead. Ohhh, Walking Dead. It's so weird- it's a show about horrible things happening and/or people being forced to do them, and yet I get such a... is it tacky to say a craving? Because it's the best word I can come up with. So, anyway, glad Shane's gone. I was pretty sick of his shit-stirring and whatnot. And I heartily welcome the rise of Daryl- I really hope he doesn't retreat into his shell again too soon. He's waaay more interesting when he's being a redneck Sherlock Holmes and/or Rick's new wingman. And, y'know, shame about Dale too. I was worried the group's morality would sink pretty quick without him, but now Shane's dead I think it'll be way easier for them to avoid going too dark.

And I definitely didn't expect them to go the "dead body = zombie, no bite required" route. That's going to complicate some things for sure.

Okay, I'mma eat some pizza and catch up on The Daily Show.
