Surrendering to karma and allowing fate to unfold

Sitting here kind of swollen and sore.. I think about just what we have committed to.

Yesterday, John and I went to Seattle and conquered the first round of fear.. facing round one of shots and the public health nurse who did not fail to leave out any one of the many beasties, bugs and hazards of our impending voyage into the unknown. Monkeys with virulent strains of herpes. A scorpion that likes to hide in your shoes at temples. The snakes who crave the warmth of your sleeping bag. Burrowing worms in public waterways.

4 injections, a presciption for typhoid meds and industrial strength bugspray. A second visit in mid- Nov to receive anti-malarial agents.

December 5th- Seattle to Vancouver BC
December 5-6th Vancouver BC to Hong Kong
December 6th to 7th Hong Kong to New Delhi

India until the 20th.. staying with my Sikh business partner in her home and family compounds.. possible visits to Jaipur, Agra ( the Taj Mahal). I'd like to go to Rishikesh, but there has been a recent outbreak of Japanese Encephalitis. Kashmir lures the spirit, but it has been earthquake damaged and war torn.

December 20th- fly into Bangkok.. over the next few days take the train to Chumporn then take a high speed ferry to the island of Ko Tao where we will spend Christmas . Mostly the trip in Thailand is unstructured. We'd like to take a bike ride through the floating gardens near Bangkok.

so that is what we have been up to..

this has all culminated rather quickly but it seems quite deliberate.
wow...

flip the word wow over and you have "om" written in both directions.
