(no subject)
So here I am at the Hillsboro Public library right in the heart of a shopping center (?!). I have a little timer on the bottom of my screen that says I have 29 minutes left and I haven't even gotten to my e-mail. But! I did try to read back 200+ entries and see what my friends have been up to. Quite some big news for some of you! CONGRATS! You know who you are. :)
Life in the coffee lane is fun and FAST. I will do a more in depth, protected entry once we have internet at home. I hope that is next week. I will say one thing, though. I am require to drink a lot of coffee and it's SO cool to watch how my handwriting changes. Honestly, it gets better after 3 tastings and worse around 5.
I am happy, though, and more challeneged in ways (and bored in ways) that I wouldn't have expected. Thankfully I did not expect much either way, so this not good nor bad. Just interesting, really.
I met some really cool ppl at a Portland LJ meetup. So mucho joy there. And there's a company picnic next week with plenty of potential. I hope to really start getting out and seeing the scene around here. So far everyone is super friendly and there seems to be a lot to do in the way of art, food, and festivities.
I don't miss CA yet. I have weird, unsorted emotions when I think about it and I believe it may be because it hasn't hit yet we're not there for good. Like, in the way of not seeing family for awhile. Sometimes I get waves of "OMG HOW WONDERFUL" and other times it's like, "WOW, we really made a life change. "
OH OH OH! The furniture came. Oh, the drama, but it's HERE and all they seem to have lost is our microwave.
