So far this summer has been filled with concerts, musicals, theme parks, movies, clubbing, reading, painting, catching up with friends and family, working out, and eating really good food-not bad at all. I also found out that I'm going to Tahiti for 16 days! I cannot wait for scuba diving, sailing, and the beautiful lagoons, beaches, and flowers. Maybe I'll even learn some French and meet hot island natives and European surfers. When I get back Laura and I are also up for a wild adventure at the High Sierra Music Festival over 4th of July weekend. We decided that the whole experience should be "interesting."
Tomorrow I will be interviewed for a job at Zen Zone, a store at Universal City Walk. The other night on my way to dinner, an employee insisted on giving me a head massage with a wire-like contraption that looked like the end of a fruit picker. He asked where I was from and if I was looking for a summer job. I replied with a short, "maybe." (not in a very friendly mood). I guess I looked "like a good person for the job," and he commented "that I seem to take good care of my body." The whole conversation was weird, but I think it'll be fun to work in a massage place with a flavored oxygen bar for some extra money. I also have to get certified at Orthopaedic Hospital so I can start research.
I was so happy to see Marce and Shelly last night, but it was not the same without Katie (why did you have to get sick, my darling? I hope you're feeling better so we can hang out soon). Shelly came home without any form of ID so we did not play pool but instead had a round robin ping pong tournament, and I must confess that Shelly beat me in two "athletic events"-ping pong and horse :). You rock CShell! We talked for a long time over fascinating white, yes white, popcorn.
Jesse wants to go dancing tonight, but I'm not in the mood.
maybe I'll read a book instead...
