I CANNOT TAKE THIS ANYMORE- i need home :(
This is my 7th day cooped up in the Hut, a study spot alternative to the library. I have never been this sedentary in my entire life-thank god for spinning. I finished my Italian final last Monday, Great Books paper on Tuesday, studied for a calc final for Friday, and now I have been studying...studying...studying for a chem final on Wednesday! This is bullshit! I suggest a policy change: All examinations should end by Friday the 12th.I hate wasting time. I prefer to study hardcore for two days and TAKE the test versus studying almost an entire week for a single exam.
*long sigh*
A few highlights of the past week:
- Capturing The Evil Rat (Saddam)!
- Decorating the dorm room
- Exchanging secret Santa gifts with Amy
- Dancing to Christmas music, Britney, Outkast, and other random songs with Julie and Nicole
- Libby and Mogs
- Kings and dorm room beer pong after convincing a janitor to give us a large table for "group study" (Go team LK + JMac!)
- 2am drunk raid of the library where I met Matthew G.'s best friend from high school and Bauman, a soph who went to H-W.
- Jessie's birthday!
- Amy's HOT date
Guy story: So there's this guy Matt (oh no yet another!). He's a super friendly basketball player who Julie thinks has a crush on me. He came to my room for the second time the other day to "look at my decorations one last time" :), asked for my cell phone number, and requested that I stop by before heading over to the gym so he could lift with me. There was a moment of awkwardness under the mistletoe when my evil roommate snickering in the corner was like "hehehehe, ooooh now you guys need to kiss...hiss, hiss" so I gave him a peck on the cheek (I guess that was good in a way). Matt is by far my favorite guy at JHU, and we'll just have to see who he invites to the basketball formal next semester ;).
Today I walked the entire Towson mall carefully noting gift ideas at different stores. I plan to return Wednesday after chemistry (*shudder at the word*) to buy certain items only found on the east coast (aka cool boots!)
I cannot wait for Kacey's visit to LA! She's coming January 8th, and we're flying back for Intersession together. I will spend a day at her house when we fly back to DC, and we'll go to UVA the following weekend to visit her bf and Jefferson friends.
My mom and I both started crying on the phone last night as I in the bitter cold was walking back from the Hut while she in the pouring rain was hanging Christmas lights telling me how much she wished I was there. When I got back to my room, I could not sleep for the third night in a row so at 4 am, I read 97 pages of "The Sound and Fury," which Julie lent me. My heart started to pound during Luster's hunt for poor Benjy.
Well, I must return to C-H-E-M-I-S-T-R-Y!
