[Drabble]
Strange things happen in the form of drabbles when I can't sleep. This one is based on a thread that I never got to finish with powered_otaku, and is dedicated to the same person. And, in my defense, if it's really bad, I don't believe in betas at 4:30 AM.
Somehow, amidst the sea of people and creatures, Jenny had managed to find herself what she thought at the time was the perfect seat in the stadium to watch Hiro. That was, of course, until something large and red sat down in front of her.
It looked dangerous, so, rather than cause trouble, she moved, this time to a seat closer to the front, amazed that she hadn’t found it before. She happily sat, munched on whatever snack she’d picked up from the vendor on her quest for a new seat, and watched the action, glad that everything had worked out. Or at she thought it had. She started to cheer for Hiro as he entered the arena, only stopping when she heard a strange noise directly next to her.
It sounded strangely like growling.
Still not wanting to cause trouble, she decided to stay quiet, not cheering too loud or yelling things like the rest of the crowd. Her neighbor, however, wasn’t satisfied with this, and the growling continued. She blinked, then got a good look and the culprit: It looked exactly like Hiro’s opponent.
So Jenny moved again, far away, again finding herself a good seat, and settled in, hoping to finish watching in peace. Or at least as much peace as possible.
