So...

The husband is officially going in to the recruiting office tomorrow to get some paper work rolling. Looks like I'm about to be a Marine wife...NEVER thought I'd see this day coming! LOL! I'm excited, a little nervous, and a little scared for him. I know he can mentally take more then most people, but the physical stuff, I'm not sure how he will do. He tells me he can work through anything, knowing that it won't last forever. I'm so proud of him! Not many people would want to go and join the toughest military establishment, in the time of war. He wants to make a difference, and he said he wants to make me proud. Silly husband, he's already made me proud!

He's hoping to head to boot camp in September or October, he'll be away for three months. Then he has anywhere from 6 weeks to a year of training in his specialty (which will be linguistics and logistics). Once he's done with boot camp, I get to go where ever he is stationed. It could be North or South Carolina, Virgina, San Diego California, Okinawa Japan, Russia, Korea, or even Australia. The chances of him going somewhere exotic is HIGHLY likely with his specialty in linguistics. So I'm looking at it like it'll be a HUGE adventure! I'm kind of liking the idea of not knowing where we'll be heading, then over night we'll be shipping out somewhere other then Washington. Now we don't want to be out of Washington forever! He'll do his time, then we'll come back to Yakima, buy a house and settle down. Doesn't sound like a bad deal to me!

So we'll be heading off to camp for 6 weeks, come back and I'll try to find some kind of job, and Sean will be heading off to boot camp come September. WOW! Things sure have changed in the last few years, but it should be one fun ride! =)
