This is meaty, I love the nuances of your writing and the way Zedd interpreted how he believes Cara must be feeling. The way that each character is written here seems to natural to them, well done on that ^_~. I can see that this is going to be something I can sink my teeth into.

Your character profile is amazing and on point. I'm excited to see where you take this story and how Kahlan and Cara become more. Also you've added some politics to this, which I find fascinating. Richard being a Rahl is going to be a problem no matter what they think.

That bit about Kahlan being corupted never even crossed my mind, nor has this idea been brought up in any other story.
Please update soon because while I do love the politics and the ruling aspects, I do want to read some fluff between my two favorite girls :)

One last thing, you made me like this Richard. Hopefully his attitutde doesn't change to much as the story goes along.

Everyone calls Richard a puppy, and he is. He's excitable, eager, loyal, and naive. But he loves a lot, most of his mistakes come from his heart being bigger than his eyes. I like Richard, and hopefully you'll keep liking him the way I'm writing him. =-)
As for politics, as I said; people are complicated, like is complicated, and they often make one another frustrating. Kahlan is a warrior, but now her battles will be more like chess than her previous adventures with Richard.
As for fluff? Yes. Floods of fluff. Flash-floods. The fluff overfloweth. But, in time. For now, they are what they always were on the show; potential lovers. =-)
