I Heart Nuns!
The nuns e-mailed me back!
Okay, so I e-mailed a bunch of nuns in Black Canyon City in the hopes that I might be able to go visit them sometime, and if they could give me any advice on deciding what to do. And they e-mailed me back saying that I was free to ask any questions I wanted! Sweet! This is actually a lot harder to do than it sounds. Most places will say that they'll tell you anything, but then they don't.
There's a good and a bad side. The good side is that they still wear habits!! and I want to wear a habit. And they're all relatively young (late 20's & early 30's) so it wouldn't be like, me running around with a bunch of 50 and 60 year olds, and they can give me a better perspective on what it's like to be young and a nun. The bad side is that I don't think that I want to be in their order because they don't teach. But! it doesn't matter because if I do become a nun I want to go teach in London. Clearly, best. job. ever. Especially since most of the monestary schools there are in castle-type places! Just like Hogwarts! Except...not...(as I get struck by lightning).
Anyways...now I'm excited! Especially since NCYC is in...3 days!
