Hmm, ok, Livejournal...here I am again.
Now, where was I last time I was here? *reads*
Oh, right. The reviews blog, the Ford Anglia/Whomping Willow fiction, and all of that good old relationship hexagon drama.
Well, none of that really matters anymore, for the most part. The reviews blog I might go back to, once I stop being annoyed at google for conning me out of $80. The fanfiction, I'll get back to if I'm ever inspired to do so. And the drama...well, things haven't changed, except that it all has sort of faded to background drama. So I guess it's not really an issue anymore.
I have a boyfriend now. His name is Tom, and he is awesome. What's weird is I've known him for two years and didn't start liking him until a good six or seven weeks ago. I guess that's what happens when you never really get to know someone. I probably wouldn't have even bothered to do so, except that we had several long DDR meetings with just the two of us, and when you're one on one with someone for so long, you can't really help but get to know him. The one that sparked the relationship lasted a good ten hours.
Am I over Pedro? I don't know. But I'm happy with Tom, and the more time I spend with him, the happier I can see myself being in the long run. And when I think about it, he might be a bit more right for me anyway.
Moving on.
Vertical Horizon has decided to stop hiding from their fans, finally. The new album comes out September 22 (supposedly. It's already been postponed several times), and they've completely relaunched their website. The website now contains a message board again (nice, since the last one was shut down in 2002 or 2003, replaced by a largely stagnant fan-run forum called liberty), and Matt (lead singer/guitarist, for anyone who doesn't remember my rampant obsession seven or eight years ago) actually posts there in an Ask Matt section. Admittedly, I wish the other members would also post, as a lot of my questions are for them rather than Matt (example- when is Keith's solo album coming out?), but still. It's nice to have so much contact from the band after ten years with almost nothing.
Oh, that reminds me. That post I made a while back about the new album? That wasn't the real album. That was Matt messing around on his own without input from the rest of the band. Most of those songs are the songs from the new album, though. Still, I will reserve judgement until I hear the full version on September 22. Maybe.
Anyway, to celebrate them, I have changed the title of this entry to a quote from "Heart in Hand," rather than from "Beautiful Day" by U2, which was my original quote ("You love this town, even if that doesn't ring true. You've been all over, and it's been all over you." Technically, it was just the second half, but now that I don't have a character limit, I can post the whole thing). Oddly enough, the version of the latter that I was listening to was actually a VH cover of the song. So maybe it would have worked.
Speaking of music, I wrote a new song. I'm also planning on recording said song when I get home, as the awesomely cool special microphone is there. If I do, I'll let you guys know. Unless I forget about you again. Which is possible. And really, who reads this blog anyway, right?
To end on a happier note...new VH! Get excited! Yay!
Edit: Just read my user info. Wow, things have changed since I wrote that. Especially since I wrote it a good six years ago.
