The marine bio trip was rescheduled for tomorrow. Figures. I didn't feel like going to lunch, so I'm here, typing. Funny thing is, I really don't actually have anything worthwhile to say on here- at least not for LJ. Most of the stuff I'd want to write about is not publishable here, after all. It's too whiny, and I'm sure you're getting sick of reading my rants.
So maybe I'll write about nothing worthwhile at all.
Actually, check this out. This website is the inspiration for my group's humanities video. The video is basically a conversation between someone soliciting the website's services (Joleen Windsor, played by Julie) and the representatives from the website (Eleanor Plofker, played by me, and Sampson, played by Josh). Also featured is Joleen's maid, Tippy (played by Caiti. If I remember and I feel like it, I'll post the finished script here. If you'd like to see the finished product, comment (with your address if necessary) and I'll see if I can make you a copy.
I went on a mini shopping spree yesterday. Bought ylang rose bath foam, white cherry blossom shower gel, a sweet pea candle, The Devil Wears Prada and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. Have already started to read The Devil Wears Prada- it's purely a guilty pleasure, I know, but I want to finish it before deciding whether or not to see the movie, and it's actually pretty funny so far. I'm about four chapters in. I also walked around my block about six or seven times yesterday- equivilant of about a mile and a half, maybe a little over. Not much, yeah, but the endorphins were lovely, to be sure.
Right, there's not much else to say right now, so I'm just going to post this. See you later.
PS: Cold is starting to go away.
PPS: Here's a meme:

- art:
Yeah, I admit that's extremely vague. I focus generally on the performing arts and writing, but I actually do like visual art a lot, too- I'm not much of an artist, but I love studying art, and I do watercolor when the mood strikes. - chocolate:
Most people don't remember that my screen name used to be Choklit112, before it was RunnerOnIce1125. It was back when there weren't enough spaces to do Choklit1125, so you have an idea how long ago that was. This interest is pretty self explanatory. - guitar:
I've been playing guitar for about four years. I got my acoustic in 2002 with a little of the money from my Bat Mitzvah, and I've been playing ever since. I'm not that good, as I rarely practice, but I'm working on it. - les miserables:
This has been my favorite musical since I was a little kid. For years, Fantine has been one of my dream roles, and this is one of the best albums to listen to on long car rides- be sure to assign singing parts to everyone in the car. And the all star concert version is the best, by the way, if you ever plan to do that. - monty python:
I've seen Holy Grail, Life of Brian, And Now For Something Completely Different, some episodes of Flying Circus, and part of Meaning Of Life. I know, that doesn't qualify me as a fan, but I'm working on seeing the rest. It just gets funnier. - pearls before swine:
This is easily my favorite comic strip. Actually, when I read the comics, I leave this one for last, generally. This becomes disappointing when it's not a particularly funny one, but I'm rarely disappointed. - renaissance:
Hmm. I'm not sure if I'm referring to the band or the time period. If it's the band, then I've been a semi-fan for years- my parents own Tales of 1000 Nights, and they used to play it all the time- I eventually got into it myself. If I meant the time period, then I've been going to Renaissance fairs since I was a baby- actually, I've been going to the NJ one ever since it opened. It's not actually going on this year, which is a problem, but hopefully it'll be back next year. - spongebob squarepants:
Haha. Originally I hated Spongebob- it seemed like the dumbest show to ever be created. Then, my sister made me sit down and watch an episode. I've been hooked ever since. I may not go out of my way to watch new ones, but if reruns are on, I'll watch it. - the swinging gates:
Ok, The Swinging Gates are an a capella girls' choir from Colgate University, the school I originally wanted to go to. I have both of their cds, and they rock, but I'll be glad to try and join Sweet Ophelia (the F&M version of the Gates) instead. - wesloryanda:
Read far enough back posts and you should be able to find information about Wesloryanda. This was the land that my first book and its subsequent series (most of which has not been written) takes place. If you want a complete history, geography, etc lesson, comment, and I'll attempt to rant it. Be forewarned- it's long and confusing, even for me.
