Rules for SIGN UP
Late Sign Ups!
• If there are fewer than 10 people signed up by the time the prompts are posted, the sign up will stay open until the due date.
• Those signing up late, will have less than 20 days available for 20 icons as they have to follow the same due date!
Additionally, there will only be one claim per person per round.
Rules
• You can claim any character, group of minor characters or pairing.
• Please note that at least 15 icons have to contain all characters when a pairing is claimed!
• You are not allowed to claim the character, group of minor characters or pairing you claimed in the last round.
• Nothing can be claimed twice in one round.
• Please be aware that you only have 20 days to make 20 icons: If you don’t think you’ll be able to do that, please leave others the chance to claim it.
• Please note, that if a claim is not fulfilled, you won’t be allowed to claim anything in the following round.
Rules for INFO
• Icons must be made originally for this challenge. No prior work may be submitted!
• All work must be your own, not someone elses!
• Make sure icons aren't adult in nature!
• Icons must fit the Livejournal standard, under 40 kb, 100x100px and in either .png, .gif, or .jpg file format.
• Post the finished icons at the same time to this community.
• When posting the finished 20, please leave a 3 icon preview. You are free to post them here (wiht a lj-cut) or a direct link to the entry.
• Don't lock the icon post: The mods need to access them for posting the voting and others want to see them after all.
• Don't submit your icons to this post!
• All entries are moderated: This means they'll be public once a mod approves them. The mod will also tag them at this time!
• You don't need to tag your entries!

Q: Why do you want to know our Country?
A:
It's rather simple. There are themes (e.g. Foreign Language) that work really well if the languages (visible through countries) are mixed up a lot. It also lets me know something about your time zone and how it relates to mine (my evening isn't necessarily yours after all!)
Q: I'm late finishing/submitting my icons, but voting isn't up yet - can I still submit them?
A:
As long as the first voting post hasn't gone up, you can still submit them. I do get notifications of submitted entries (unless something is going wrong) and I will try to check the queue before hitting submit (when I'm still able to edit the polls).
Q: Can I ask for an extension?
A:
Theoretically - Yes.
Practically - I don't want to give more than a day or two at most. So, expect no more!
Additionally, I do have rl to look out for and this might mean that I can't extend posting the voting for more than a couple of hours because I won't have time later on. In the same way - I might "have" to extend the submissions time because rl doesn't give me enough time. In this case I will give my best to make a post about it in advance. Still, asking doesn't cost anything ;)
Q: How do put the icons into the voting?
A:
I usually have two options for the voting: 1) Save icons and upload them to my photobucket account or 2) use your links.
I chose the second option as you remain in full control of your icons. It also makes me stop wondering if anybody is going to think your icons are made by me when they browse all of my folders.
