004. Back to the real world
My Grandfather is back home! He was discharged today, so after a hectic time doing a million errands for my mom, I am finally home at a reasonable time (much to my puppies' delight) and am sitting down to write!
Tomorrow I am back to working -- I am scheduled for a double. I am not looking forward to a sixteen hour shift but I am looking forward to being able to be a nurse to other people's families beside my own! I know exactly why there are rules in place so that in nursing (and healthcare in general) you aren't allowed to take care of close friends or family.
So, I've put on my Taylor Swift album (though, really, I should have it all memorized by now) and am working on Chapter Five of Screaming Color. This Chapter has been giving me HELL. I've been working on it for three weeks now. But, I think I've finally gotten it figure out. Posting here instead of just A03 has really helped, simply because of all the feedback!
So, here's to hot tea, two huskies at my feet, and a new chapter.
