Yay. This has those little moments of discomfort, those little animal franknesses, that get together to ring my reality-effect ding in a sex scene. And the disconnects and also the leaps of tacit understanding in the dialogue -- which is very much what interests me in dialogue, and flatteringly characteristic of what I was trying to do with it here! Huzzah.

Whew, I'm glad it worked for you. I was really nervous about it, and trying to stay at least somewhat within your style (Billy POV, but almost completely physical, not so much mental) was a challenge. :-) I loved the original so much, and enjoyed reading through your other stories as well.
