Too bleeping true! I haven't felt the Winchester bond that strongly since S3, to be sure. I for sure thought I was no longer capable of enjoying this show, but I was proven wrong!
Yeah, judging from what I read about the character and relationship that emerged from those eps, I knew they would just make me bang my head against the wall. And a part of me is still bitter they completely blew the body-swap idea. I'm not even going to enter them into my personal canon, they can languish away in my massive inbox for eternity, lol.
Fringe actually reminds me of SPN in a few ways. There's only a handful of regulars and they've turned into this loveable, unconventional family, which I love. And they've really fleshed out Walter and Peter's relationship into the heart of the show, as well as the lengths Walter is willing to go to to protect his family.
Just WALTER, he is brilliantly written and acted, I heart him to infinity. Plus, I enjoy its blending of epic mytharc and MOTW. It's good in the way SPN used to be with that blending, although Fringe is MUCH better in terms of continuity.
