BASICS:
Name: Meri (it's not my real name, but it's the one I go by most often)
Age: 25
General Location: Pennsylvania
Three positive adjectives describing you: intelligent (especially when literature is involved), artistic (I can do about seven different kinds of art), honorable
Three negative adjectives describing you: cynical, loner, overly truthful (I never lie, even if it'll hurt someone; I believe that the truth is always better than a lie)
Do you have a preference on race or gender? (one or the other): Not really. I like all the races, and as for gender, I'm pretty androgynous.

THIS OR THAT: (there's room for both in some cases)
Love or War: Love, always. I believe that there are always ways to solve problems without fighting; people are just too lazy and violent to find them.
Strength or Mercy: Mercy. Strength is a good thing, but not at the cost of hurting someone else.
Determined or Accepting: Both- I'm a very determined and competent and always finish what I start, but I'm also completely accepting and have absolutely no prejudices towards anyone. Everyone is equal, in my way of thinking.
Making your own Destiny or Accepting Fate: Make your own destiny. If you don't like where you're going, then change it.
Life or Death: Life, although I'm not afraid of death. I'm more afraid of getting old and infirm, and not being able to live.
Brave or Safe: Somewhere in the middle; I tend to stay towards the safe (I'm not much of a risk taker) but if I want to try something new, I'll do it without hesitation. I just tend to avoid things that will put me (or anyone else) in danger (so no sky-diving or fast driving for me!).

GENERAL LOTR QUESTIONS:
Which is your favorite movie: I can't really pick- I enjoyed them all.
Book?: TTT (I love the Ents, and I loved the part of the book focusing on Merry and Pippin)
Favorite character and why: Merry- he's always been my favorite. I love that he's got a mischievous streak in him, but he's also competent and willing to fight.
Who do you relate to the most?: This is hard, because I don't really relate to any of the characters in particular. I guess the closest is Eowyn, because she fights to be able to live her own life and not do what others want her to do.
What got you into the fandom?: My dad first read me The Hobbit and FotR when I was about six or seven. Around when the movies came out, I read the books again, and they were my dad and my obsessions- it was great having someone to talk about them with who knew all about them.
If you could live anywhere in Middle-earth, where would it be?: I've always loved the hobbits and the Rohirrim, but I'd have to say one of the elf locations- either Lothlorien, Rivendell, or Mirkwood. In one of those places I could be myself and be able to be a loner without being pigeonholed into what society would what me to be. I also really love forests and nature. :) Although I'm teaching myself Old English right now, so at least I'd be able to communicate in Rohirric, since they're pretty much the same language. ;)
What would you do with the One Ring?: Destroy it
If you could have a Ring with any power, what would it be?: To be able to speak with animals. I've always had a closeness with them and can usually tell what they're feeling, but it would be great to be able to talk with them, too.

How'd you find us? I was looking through stamping communities

Post a picture of yourself (in costume is great!), if you have one and are comfortable doing this. If not, just describe yourself:

That's my most recent picture, but I usually have long blond hair; I just wanted to go back to my natural hair color for a while. As for appearance, I'm average weight, average height (5' 4"), and have blue eyes and brown hair.
