Magical and lovely to read! I loved all the little details- the chess figure made from oliphant tooth, the contents of the little chest- and Boromir walking between light and shadow and your imagery- especially that comparison: His hand isn’t quite solid and Aragorn feels it like a warm breath against his skin.
Thanks a lot for sharing and Happy Holidays!

What a beautiful story! The atmosphere was so melancholy, but so warm at the same time. As I read it, I could perfectly imagine that hidden little room that became a refuge to the brothers after Finduilas' death - all the details you mentioned were wonderful (particularly the felt horse he and Théodred argued over, such a nice little touch). I love that Boromir came to Aragorn to ease the pain over his death a little, and that there's the possibility of another visit in the future. their interaction was so loving and Boromir like I imagine him without the pull of the ring. And of course Arwen being understanding, both about Aragorn needing to keep part of his ranger life, and about Boromir.

Loveliness all around ♥

First off, I'm really sorry that it had taken so long for me to comment on this. I had been on vacation with very limited Internet access before this, and when I came back I was completely swamped by things I need to catch up with. I'm really, really sorry.

Especially since this is such a beautiful tale! I love the room with its memories and the stories behind each and every item that Boromir keeps in the place; I love that Boromir hasn't miraculously returned, but is there as a shade just for Aragorn's sake because Aragorn is still haunted by his loss. The memories between them brought up by the kiss of Lorien, and how Aragorn's descriptions of them are so achingly sweet - I have a feeling that it's due to Boromir's presence and the kiss. And Arwen! Arwen's short cameos, her sweet understanding of her King... Aragorn is very lucky, to have both of his loves to love him so deeply.

I adore this, lovely! Thank you so, so much for writing this for me! ♥♥♥!
