I forgot to mention that, yes, thank you. I know of one star ceiling done 25 years ago (not by me) that shows no fading or deterioriation of the paint at all. I use a special paint which is horribly expensive, but it is the best.
I promised several people I would tell them how to do this, so I'll be posting an instruction sheet here. Anyone can do it, as long as they are pretty fit and can stand a little pain *wink*
Well, you know the little glow-in-the-dark sticker stars? We put some on our son's ceiling about 28 years ago, and they *still* glowed up until we painted over them last year.
I think directions would be splendid! And I love the idea of you doing a "Moria-gate" like that!
Thank you! It doesn't take genuine talent like your magnificent costumes, but anyone can do it with a little practice. I think after I post the instructions, there will be a whole crop of star ceilings turning up!
How very true - this looks as if you were indeed sleeping under the stars (beside the fact that you have a very nice bedroom!), and there's even a shooting star! Wonderful.
I really, really, really want that on my ceiling. Thanks for posting this, even if it isn't your own room (gosh, I wish it was my room). It still makes me want to get that done on my ceiling.
