I will go for the Elves. So it has been decided, though I doubt my adar will approve. I have not yet reached my fifth yen, though the time draws near, and so I am not yet my own master in all things. Adar is my king, too, though I am but one of his heirs - it is debatable whether I shall ever rule my own destiny. Still, I am grateful for this adventure.

Boromir of Gondor, too, seems glad of his going. He it was who brought the riddle of the Ring before the Council, and he will represent the free Men of the South in this venture. His father’s heir, also; does he long to step out from beneath the Steward’s shadow and forge his own way? If so, I understand too well.
And for Men also, Aragorn, called Estel when last he dwelt here. He is the leader of the Men of the North, but in truth he is Gondor’s destined King. Will Boromir recognize him for his grandfather’s ragged sellsword? Will they be grateful of each other’s company?

The Periannath are almost like children - of course, I am much older than they, but the younger two especially cause me concern. They will be the youngest of the Company, and bear close watching. Will they survive this venture? I worry for the Ringbearer’s kin, though I am glad to lend them - especially Frodo - my service.

Mithrandir will lead us; he represents the Wise. He is the emissary of the Belain, if I do not mistake his true purpose. May they watch over us! I am grateful for his guidance; he has been a mentor to me since my younger days.

Should we meet danger, I will be grateful to be rid of that troublesome Dwarf, Gimli Gloinson!

Sindarin words:
yen = period of 144 years. Legolas is about 700. (I know yen is Quenya, but I couldn't find the Sindarin equivalent)
adar = father
perian = hobbit; -ath is the collective plural, so periannath = all the Hobbits
Mithrandir = Grey Wanderer, Gandalf
Belain = Valar, the Powers of the West.
