2011 LOTR GFIC Yule Fic Exchange

We have had a very successful exchange this year! Here are the links to the stories. (We still have one late story which will be added later.)

Uncle Teo's Fiddle by Cathleen, written for Dreamflower Sam joins the Took’s and Brandybuck’s Yule celebration following the recent death of his mother, and finds it difficult to cope amidst all the merriment until an elderly uncle helps to soothe him with music and an understanding ear.
Gone Missing by Linaewen, written for Leinora When Merry and Pippin go missing in Minas Tirith, Frodo and Sam enlist Aragorn's help to find them.
Preparing for War by Rhyselle, written for Keilisse The old tales glorify those who march to war. But what about those who help them prepare to go, and must await their return? A somewhat angsty friendship story starring Erestor and Elrond.
A Yuletime Surprise by RadcliffePotter, written for Cathleen When a fierce cold lays Bilbo low two days before Yule, he and Frodo are dissapointed to miss Yule celebrations with Merry, Pippin, and the other cousins. Fortunately, things don't always go as we imagine.
A Brief Doubt by Nath, written for Larner Boromir has second thoughts about the quest, but finds his resolve again.
The Burning Cold of Snow by Erulisse, written for Nath Mordor was not only used by evil in the Third Age. It had been used by Morgoth in the First Age. Brushkût, an orc from Mordor is trained to join the troops at Angband and sets off with his regiment, walking through the dead of winter towards the far north.
But Seas Between Us Broad Have Roared by Dreamflower, written for Rhyselle During Merry's last Yule in the Shire, he finds himself often lost in memories of Yules past.
Yule Surprises, Part 1, by Pearl Took, written for Thundera Tiger A mysterious Dwarf meets with a Shire hobbit at the Prancing Pony, and arrangements are made for trade...
Homeward Bound by Keiliss, written for Erulisse Return to Valinor.
Yuletide Truce - by Larner, written for Pearl Took In my-verse Pippin has a particularly hard time returning home, as his father and mother seem intent on trying to force him to be as he was before his journey outside the Shire. Merry is justifiably concerned for his younger cousin's happiness. But how can one explain properly how and why Pippin's changed so?
Of Opinions and late-night Conversations By Leianora, written for RadcliffePotter Strider tends to Frodo after Weathertop, and they have a quiet conversation..

We thank all the authors who participated in this year's exchange! We invite everyone to come and read all the lovely gifts! We hope you enjoy them.
