The August Challenge: Two Sides to Everything

The August Challenge stories, with the theme of "Two Sides to Everything" has now been posted. Each story was to include a debate, argument or disagreement between two or more characters. The element for these stories was a particular topic of debate. We’ve had eleven entries so far, and a few late stories have been promised.

Three Wise Men by Linda Hoyland Faramir is unhappy about an agreement Aragorn plans to sign
Which Came First? by foxrafer Pippin and Sam over a couple of tankards in the Green Dragon.
Tea and Questions by Nath Olórin faces an unexpected question from Sam.
A Conspiracy Is Formed by Antane Merry's recruitment of Sam to keep an eye on Frodo pre-Quest.
Fairly Compromised by Zhie A debate after the appearance of Eärendil. What should be the fate of the peredhil?
It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time by Dreamflower
Merry and Pippin take Strider to task for a long-ago decision.
