man alive was yesterday a god awful day....i don't want to go into here, cuz i know some of you (well maybe 2 of you) read this every morning and i don't want you to start your day out by hearing about the hellish day to day never ending screaming shrieking torment that is my life...
on the plus side AMERICAN IDOL (!) was on last night...the three guys i backed are still in, thank goodness, but i think two of them are gonna go quickly (i tried to make a reverse joke saying they will 'go quickly' but i 'come quickly,' hoping for a delightful double entendre, but alas i couldn't do it)...the crooner kid i like is still in, but he'll be gone soon...speaking (writing) of that sort of thing i got a new chet baker cd yesterday, 'chet is back'..it's a rerelease of an old italian session recorded january 5, 1962..it's very good..chet actually sings in italian...the liner notes claim that he picked up italian while in an italian jail...i bet the only lingo i would ever pick up in jail is "do i get to fuck you when you are done?" or "hey pal, i think i told you i am not gay (not that there is anything wrong with that) i appreciate your flattery and your interest, but i don't go in for these backdoor shenanigans..."
