Okay - problem resolved.
Not perfectly, but resolved.
Essentially - our usual ferret breeder decided that she would no longer sell unaltered ferrets. This after she had already sold me several of them over the last few years and I had put down a deposit on an Angora - six months ago. During the 6 months I had over and over for her not to have ours spayed. Turns out - she just had them all altered and we are SOL.
I understand that she doesn't want people buying several of her unaltered Angoras, then going off and starting a competing business. BUT - I'm not a breeder, never will be, and she knows this. She positively knew I had previous ones fixed. AND, instead of telling me straight out that this was her new policy - she waits until they are all fixed, and then says "oh well".
Luckily - even though I said I would purchase this one and not any more from her - she just offered up the refund.
So we have no new baby ferret. Sigh.....
