Indeed. I had never heard of such a being before.

When an human soul perishes, it may be guided to Soul Society, the Shinigami realm, or it may be devoured by an Hollow. If the second happens, that will make another Hollow spawn. They food on souls.

Aizen-sama has upgraded the Hollows using the Hôgyoku, and creating the Arrancar. Of all Arrancar, the ten strongest ones are named Espada.

Elves do not come from Man or vice versa. We are entirely separate race of beings from the same world. However, something tells me there are no elves in your world.
