'If you ask it of me, I will give you the One Ring.'

No... I have already passed this test. Do not tempt me again, vile voices of the past. This world is not mine. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. There is no Ring here but mine... and Nenya is dimished. You will not prevail.

Yes. The test of the One Ring. It was offered to me by the ringbearer Frodo, but I denied it's lure and call.

... the One Ring? The ringbearer ...?
Perdon me being that curious but ...
What is it exactly you're talking about?

In my world, there had been a dark man who created several Rings of Power for the different people. Without anyone else knowing, he created his own Ring of Power... one that would control the other Rings and bring darkness to Middle Earth. He was defeated, and the One Ring was to be destroyed in the fires of Mt Doom where it had been forged. But it was not. It was taken by one of the King of Men after Sauron's death. The Ring was lost after the King's death, and we thought all was well, but the Prophecies spoke of the Ring and that there would be another war. It was during that war that a new Ringbearer emerged. It was his task to bring the Ring back to Mt Doom and destroy it before Sauron's evil could bring him back.

... I understand.
Kind of at least ...
The world you came from ... sounds like an old fairy tale to me ...

Others have said such.

I expected that.

Still ... I assume you've prefered living in your world, haven't you?

Yes. Haven't most who are trapped here? *knowing smile*

Well... I've noticed myself that there are indeed times you ... kinda prefer living here ...

I could see how that would be if one develops attachments to those not of their own world.

Might be the main point, indeed ...
Though some worlds might be not as peaceful as this one is as well ...

I would agree that many worlds are at war, whether with each other or within themselves, but I don't think I would consider this place to be peaceful.

Compared to being at war all the time and being reminded of the past you want to forget ...
It can be quite pleasant to be here.

*small chuckle, humorless* Yet, here... many are reminded of their pasts often.
