SXSW - Just an excuse for me to drive to Austin for the first time...
I really, really want to see Sondre Lerche tomorrow night at Antone's. He hasn't played in
Austin for about 2-3 years and who knows when he'll come back. I don't know the badge/cash situation for trying to see a show or two (I also want to see Rocco Deluca and the Burden down the streetish at an earlier time), but I figure it can't be too expensive because the last time I went I saw Cake, Little Richard, and some other performers for 30 bucks and they're way bigger names than who I'm trying to see now. So that's one issue.
Issue two, is that I have no one to go with me because they either are broke, don't know who the hell I'm trying to see, or are out of town. Which essentially means I'd be going it alone for the whole night which would be cool with me if say, I lived there and didn't have to drive 1 1/2 hours back home in silence (cd/radio doesn't count). Plus, my mom won't let me go if I have no one to go with....
So unless people start caving, it looks like another "fun filled" night of playing the Sims or rewatching season 2 of Stargate: Atlantis with commentary.
