So it's raining again in my neck of the woods. Nothing like the downpour on Monday, but it was still pretty steady. Since I had to teach a class in another building which is across the street, I decided to drive instead of walk. I packed up my little cart (which does not have its own built-in umbrella, so I covered it with a light jacket) and started to walk out to my car. And suddenly it's like ZOMGWTFFREEZINGWIND! It is RAINING steadily and the ICY WIND is attempting to break my umbrella. Remember when The Very Blustery Day turned into The 100 Acre Wood Flood? Imagine Piglet flying through the air during the rainstorm and that's what it was like. So I'm soaking wet by the time I get to my car and of course I'm trying to get the cart into the trunk while holding onto my umbrella and it DOES NOT WORK. By the time I get to the other building and manage not to fly into Owl's House, I am a mess. I did some damage control, but I imagine the people in the class felt like their class was being taught by
Bridget Jones after she takes that car ride. Mercifully, there was only the ICY WIND to be dealt with on the trip back.
Which brings us to:
Day Three: I am VERY happy that I have a good space heater in my office.
