My uterus gives it two thumbs up
For reasons I still cannot completely explain, I bought both the Marie Antoinette soundtrack and movie yesterday. Seriously wtf? I remember thinking that the movie was good when I saw it a couple of weeks ago, but not THAT good. But I started listening to the copy of the soundtrack that I had gotten from somewhere which turned out to not be the complete soundtrack. So I downloaded the complete soundtrack from iTunes because, really, it's a fabulous and infectious (in a good way) soundtrack. And listening to the soundtrack made me want to see the movie again. Like see it again RIGHT NOW. Normal people might go to an establishment that rents movies in order to satisfy this sort of urge. Me, I just went to Target and bought it.
I blame my uterus. My PMS week usually tends to be "Whee! Let's be impulsive and buy shiny things!" and then I look back afterwards and wonder what the hell I was thinking. In this case, I think it'll be okay because I really do like the soundtrack and when watching the movie last night, I liked it a lot more than I remember liking it before.
On another note, I knew I was right to get my copy of American Doll Posse through the Tori store. It arrived on Saturday. It is shiny and wonderful, but I am in the wrong mood for it this week. Still, it is now going to be the resident CD in my car (replacing MCR's The Black Parade) which means it gets listened to whenever I am too lazy to hook up my iPod and have had enough of NPR for one day.
Lastly, I am feeling better but got very little sleep last night. Somebody's small child decided that 3am is really the perfect time to SCREAM AT THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS for the better part of an hour. Which means today will be very unproductive unless you count staying awake as being productive. :-)
