overdue update

Wow, so it’s been, like, forever since I last posted.  So damn much has happened in my life, I’m not sure how long this thing’s gonna be.  I’ll try and be chronological.  January was pretty calm- a low-key New Year’s party, new classes, good stuff but not exciting.  February… well, I saw both of the people I was trying to date, brought them both gifts for Valentine’s Day.  However, one I have not seen at all since, and the other I’ve seen four or five times, and not for much of anything interesting, just hanging out and watching TV.
I don’t remember March-nothing much really happened.  However, April has seared itself on my mind, since my poor kitty Elvis was killed then.  Sometimes I still can’t believe how long it’s been- I miss him at all sorts of odd moments, whether I’m at home or not.  Quincy has been odd, which is to be expected, spending most of his time outside, all that. He even was jumpy at first when I would pet him outside.  We’re re-bonding, though, which is nice, and I think that part of his reluctance to come in is just the sheer number of other cats.  Fortunately the males are all getting fixed this week, so Quincy should be ok to come in.  Also, I’ve adopted one of the kittens from the latest (and last) litter, one whom I think is Elvis’ grandson, so that’s helpful.  I’ve named him Rajah, which fits, since he’s tiger-striped, and his mother is Jasmine, named from Disney’s Aladdin, and that character had a pet tiger named Rajah.  Also, it means ‘king’, so it fits with Elvis.
My big news now is that I’m graduating!  As of this time next week, I will officially have my Bachelor’s!  Granted, I have a few more classes over the summer, to finish up Gen Ed’s and whatnot, but I’m still basically done.  It’s a big step.  For the first time in my life, I won’t be planning for classes, thinking about them, or wondering what comes next- I have to make it happen.
On that note: I’m essentially done with the pilot for my TV show.  It needs a bit more, here and there, but it’s pretty much done and ready to pitch.  I’d very much appreciate anyone who has any suggestions on how, where, or with whom to pitch it, and you’re welcome to read it and give me pointers and whatnot.  I’m actually thinking that what I need next is an agent.  Again, this is a big step.  I feel that this show is a big part of my life-purpose, and I want to make it work, and work well.  I just have trouble when I watch something like Buffy or Bab 5, and they’re soooo well written, and say what they want to say so well, I feel that I’ll never live up to that.
Which reminds me.  I have a new blog and a new website, both because of a class I just finished titled Hypertext and Literature.  The blog, http://newmillenium23.blogspot.com,  is about how the best of TV shows can be considered literature, by virtue of characters that grow and change, and who resonate with us.  The website, www.oilandblood.com, is a collaborative fiction with one of my classmates.  I’m not entirely happy with it, and it’ll only be up for a couple of months, but feel free to check it out and tell me what you think.
Two of the classes I have left are weekend intensives, a directing and a documentary, which should both be fun, and my mom will be here all next week, for graduation and a visit.  I’ll be going back to NY the last weekend of July, into August, for a wedding (why is everyone my age getting married all of a sudden?), and possibly going to Baltimore at some point during that, though I haven’t decided.  I am muchly looking forward to all of this.  Now if only I could find a new place to live, one without so many cats, and with room for all of my stuff to fit comfortably.  Ah, well.
