Finally looked at my last entry and decided that I needed to update this.
I went to see NIN and had a blast! The show was great and the seats were awesome! The first opening act was TV on the Radio and well to put it nicely, THEY SUCK ASS!!! OMG!!! I KNOW I can't sing, I don't charge people and torture them with it..... The next up was Bauhaus and I thought that I hadn't heard of them before. It turns out that they've done a song with Dead Can Dance that I like. And they actually sang it too! Then NIN was up and OH MY GOD!!! From where I was (floor seat{it's an Idaho thing, don't ask... I have no idea. Floor is supposed to be for moshing, not seats} and in the middle, so I got to see things really good!)I had a pretty good view of the stage. Trent looked great! Nice pants, hehe..... They did a good mix of new stuff and old stuff. This was the first time that they had been to Idaho and Trent said that he was surprised at the turn out but they will be back. That made me happy. Since we were on the floor, they gave us bracelets to identify us. They were handing out two different colors to represent drinking and non drinking. I'm going to be thirty in February (I know.... I need to grow up, don't really care), I don't think that I really look THAT young, but they gave me the color for non drinking age. I thought that was a riot. Gave me an ego boost, that's for sure.
Warped was a different story. Don't get me wrong, I plan to go next year. First of all, the hubby would only give me $20 to take with me and that had to cover both me and my cousin. It's an all day event and that was to cover food and water. Yeah, right. Water was over $2 for a twenty ounce bottle. It hit over 100 degrees that day. My mom said that according to the news that there were over eight thousand people there. The acts where great, I really enjoyed it. I saw Aiden and just listened to the rest until AFI came on. They let us take in cameras and that made my day. I took my digital camera with me and even though I was standing in the back forties I got some wicked pics that I am way proud of. I got Aiden's autograph. AFI didn't stick around to long after they finished with thier show, but oh well. Considering they had to be in Portland (I think) the next night, I don't blame them. Plus it was still fucking hot! When I got home at eleven, the thermometer on my Grandma's porch read over ninety... But I still plan to go next year and this time, I'm going to take more then just a 20 with me.... after all there is all that band gear to buy... hehe
We moved to Boise in mid August, got the kids enrolled in school and what not. We are still working on getting them in the programs that they need, setting up thier IEP's and all that fun stuff.....
So, there you have it in a nut shell. I'm still working on my fics, but the muses seem to have gone on an extended vacation and I have no idea when they plan to come back. The one that I have been having the best luck with is the only one not posted anywhere. Rather amusing... oh well.
