You didn't think you'd be hearing from me again so soon, didja?

My last day in Winchester is drawing to a close. The sun has gone and all is cold and dark and wet. My room is virtually empty, everything packed into one unbelievably heavy suitcase...or two...or three... Actually, it's a ginormous suitcase, a much smaller, rolling computer bag, and my bandolier bag. Not bad, eh? Never thought I'd survive in Winchester with so little, did you? Well, I didn't. Ha! I've already sent a whole bag of crap home. And yes, there might even be presents in there for good little friendlings. Heehee.

But whatever have I been doing with my last few days in Winchester? Well. Wednesday, as a reward for finishing all the papers that were due today early, I went and saw The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Holy crap! What an amazing film! Seriously, one of the best kids films I've ever seen...way better than the Harry Potter films. For one, they didn't cut any of the book. Yeah. Amazing. Granted, all the Narnia books put together don't even begin to equal the size of Order of the Phoenix. Still, the movie was amazingly well done, and it actually made me cry, which I didn't think I'd do because I know exactly what happens. Leslie, Sai, and I went to the King's (last time for me) to do karaoke one last time. Kristen (the loco girl from New Hampshire) was there with Sai, and was actually quite friendly to me. WTF? She even bought me a shot. Go figure. She didn't talk to Leslie at all. But whatever. Silly bint. It was fun, the King's wasn't terribly crowded, and much fun music was sung by all.

Thursday...spent the whole day locked up in my room resting, reading, and playing video games. Just because I could. And I didn't have any money with which to get in trouble, so I didn't. Leslie and I went out to the Black Boy to enjoy our favourite beverages one last time together. I had mulled wine (of which I am a huge fan and I'm going to make everyone drink it with me when I get home) and my favourite cider, the Stowford Press. Leslie had her Flowers IPA. And, while we were working on our second/third drinks, who shows up but Lois. Which was incredibly random because Lois and Leslie were on their way to becoming pretty good friends at the beginning of the term, but then, randomly, Lois freaked out and stopped talking to Leslie. I know her because I've been with Leslie a few times when we've run into her. But anyway. She was at the Black Boy last night, by herself, saw us in there, and decided to join us. Random. But whatever. Got some fun pictures of that.

And today. Went to Short Fiction Writing this morning, though very nearly overslept. I forgot to set my alarm, and woke up at 8:15, thinking, 'Oh, crap! I'm going to be late, and I've never been late before!' Lame, I know. But yeah, writing was amusing. It was nice to see all my favourite people while the weird, obnoxious ones didn't show. That'd be Tom the Freaky Argintinian, and the two random blokes who started coming to class on occasion half-way through the term. We talked about the Supporting Rationale for our Creative Piece (both of which I've already turned in, but it was all good), and while everyone else was jotting down ideas for their Rationales, Hans and I, since we were going home and had already done ours, got to brainstorm plots for Christmas stories based on two very lacklustre first sentences provided by Joan. I have this theory that she's far more creative in private than she is in class. I dunno. Anyway, I went to eat breakfast in the Canteen for the last time ever, and to use up the meal points on my card, and then went out on the town to say goodbye. I seriously walked everywhere. All the way up by the Great Hall, down High Street, past the Cathedral, past the house where Jane Austen died, through the Water Meadows, up St. Catherine's Hill, back along another path of the Water Meadows, up High Street, past the Cathedral again, up to Southgate Street, and back up, through the cemetary to the Uni. I ended up taking about 80 pictures of my rambles, and it was so sad to think that I'm not going to be able to go to these places for so long. At least two years, if not more. :( *tear*

And tonight...Leslie and I are going to O'Neill's one last time for a pint of extra cold Guinness and I have made it my mission to discover the name of the really cute Irish bartender tonight. I will do it. I swear. Or die trying. Maybe. :D Yeah. Anywho...off to check bus tickets with me! I'm going to London tomorrow. Damn.
