1 final and 3.5 days to go until I'm home! Finals and reading week haven't been too bad, they've actually been sort of nice. Reading week was very relaxing, I got a lot of reading done, and Rachel and I watched Star Wars. I love those movies, and hadn't watch them in way too long. I think that's one of the few things my parents did right, they raised me on Star wars. Finals haven't been too bad. I've been reading TONS of psychology, but that's sort of my own fault, because I put it off til the last minute.
They finally turned the AC on here yesterday. It was been in the 80's for about a week, and it was horribly hot. The dorm was like an oven. However, they didn't turn the AC on soon enough to prevent nats from invading our room. Since it was so hot, Rachel and I were keeping the window open in a vain attempt to get some air circulation. I was about to go to bed, when I noticed that the ceiling was sort of moving. The ceiling directly above my bead and the whole curtain down the side of it were completely covered with nats! I guess they had been attracted to the light in the room, and Rachel and I just hadn't noticed them coming in. So, we slammed the window shut and spraid the entire room with rade, which was sort of gross, especially since all the dead, rade covered nats fell on my bed.
A couple of days ago there was this huge thunderstorm, and the sky just opened up. It wasn't as good as a virginia thunderstorm, because the sky was so cloudy you couldn't see the lightning at all, and it was a little too cold, but I went outside anyway and took a long walk in the rain. I love rain, especially warm summer thunderstorm, ones that you can go out in and walk through and play in. Or just watching storms, but going out in them is nice to. It's good for clearing my head. It's amazing how many strange looks you'll get leisurely walking down the sidewalk bear foot with no umbrella during a big thunderstorm. Silly people.
I officially turned in my unenrollment form yesterday, and I'm almost completely packed now. It's really nice to see the room loose it's touches of me, almost like I was never here. Other than the amazing pizza, I'm not going to miss any of this next year, and somehow that feels really nice. This summer is going to be wonderful. I will make it wonderful, no matter what happens it will be good. Yeah, a little overoptimistic, but cut me a little slack, I'm new at this whole optimism thing. :)
