Anthology story complete!
went to my parents' last night and visited with my mom and grandpa. dad was at a political meeting (we were actually in town for a separate political meeting, too) so it was just the four of us.
yesterday i kept really busy, between doing some -very fulfilling- writing and straightening up some miscallaneous clutter we still haven't found places for. i'm doing some more of both the above tasks today. i finished the edits for the story I'm turning in for the anthology and printed up copies to take to the meeting tonight. i think the added scene at the ending -really- made the story better. the ending was too abrupt before, and that scene not only fixed that but, i think, gives the reader a clearer idea of two of the characters and simultaneously gives the reader more insight into what things are like after the text of the story runs out. :) I love it when something just clicks like that.
now i'm sojourning into a new story, and so far it's going very well.
I'm trying to get as much stuff around the apartment in order as i can before we go to detroit (we leave tomorrow morning), and I've still got to pack. lol. i actually kind of like being busy, though...I've always worked best under pressure, including those instances related to writing. i'm going to try to go to work with david one or two days next week, too, because there's still a lot to get done out there, and a double paycheck is a nice way to kick off a month, especially the month of your birthday. ;)
since i'll be out tonight, this is probably my last post until Monday, when I get home. so Bye for now!
