1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Archery (well, I tried it in high School), mmmm never embroidered before, I worked in a library for the first time (yey!), joined the SCA and actually have time to do something with it. Biked to work for the first time.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Never fleshed them out enough to really have a success or failure, but yes, I certainly have goals for this new year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
This is a hard one, we're going to skip it.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not very close, but a couple people that were close to people I was close to, and therefore it affected me as well.
5. What countries did you visit?
America, no wait, I live here.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
Well, I'd like a higher paying job and a more clear idea of what I"m doing career/school wise, but.... I'm not really counting on either of those.
Heath insurance (I did have this at the beginning of 2007 but... should be getting it again shortly, one of of two ways), a health club membership (that I actually use) , and a few more medieval outfits would be nice by the end of the year. Also would like camping equipment... and few closer friends in Madison.
I'd also like to be a member of the UU Society here in Madison and get more involved in that and the Animal Welfare organization here.
7. What date(s) from 2008 will remain etched your memory, and why?
Gee. My little going away party. My first all day outdoor archery experience. The weekend of Jeff's funeral with Leslie & James. My weekend walking and canoing with Dick. Getting Sanspoof. Lots of newness this year so it's hard to pinpoint specific days.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Moving to a new city (after a LONG time in Milwaukee), so leaving my area of comfortability, Getting and starting two new jobs (especially my library job) Getting involved in the SCA.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Do we have to talk about this? Still holding onto the past (and getting upset about stupid ass shit), drinking a bit too much a few times, heh, not being as organized as I would like (and/or being a big slob).
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No, besides for mild stomach troubles a few days I've been extra healthy as of late.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Sanspoof? Those those were adoption fees, I don't actually consider her "bought". And yes, I bought a lot of books this year, and I'm pretty pleased with them.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Wow, maybe I'm not just feeling positive at the moment, but nothing come to mind.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The US Government
14. Where did most of your money go?
MAJOR thing as far as I'm concerned: Parking tickets is NOT on this list for the first time since I've been doing them (stupid Milwaukee)
Food, very good food, Books, books, craft supplies, bills, and UW tuition pay off
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Jason, living in a new place, kittens

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?
Happier.
ii. thinner or fatter?
Thinner (though I want to be stronger still, and this is a goal)
iii. richer or poorer?
Richer. (mostly because I work all the time though)
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
More time outdoors, more time exercising.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Internetting, playing Civ IV
20. Any new hobbies/interests?
I think I've just about beaten this into the ground, but all things SCA.
21. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
At home, with a few friends (I hope)

Continued to, yes.

Colbert Report & Robot Chicken
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.
26. What was the best book you read?
Tie between The Book Thief and The Botany of Desire... best fiction and non-fiction I'd say.
27. What was/were your greatest musical discoveries?
The Wrong Trousers and Rose Polenzani
28. What did you want and get?
Lots of things, but love was the most important. Added bonuses were the Mark Twain book and this lovely computer piece of technology.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Didn't have one.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
31, worked, um, nothing much special on my actual birthday
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I'm not sure abut immeasurably, but I would like some more mental calmness.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Heh, business very very casual
34. What kept you sane?
All varieties of reading (audio and otherwise), a few friends, Jason, Sanspoof & Sirius
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Colbert, Randy Rhodes
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Sigh, animal issues this year probably
37. Who did you miss?
Everyone in Milwaukee (Specifically: Chrystal, Leslie, Tanya, Sally (who I've entirely lost track off) Michelle (who I've mostly lost track of), Billy T, Dick , Michael), and a few people that have wandered off elsewhere (and Matt of course, but it's not like I EVER see you anyway)
38. Who was the best new person you met?
I dislike the word "best", and I met lots and lots of people this year. A chosen few at Borders, all the SCA people (from needlearts and archery mostly), got closer to Jay and Johnna and Jon & Stephanie.

I can do this life thing, damn it!
