If I can do it, anyone can... blackhalo1 June 21 2007, 06:23:10 UTC
Josh has gotten me to go biking with him. Last Thursday was my first time on a bike in about 25 years. I went 20 miles with him from Prospect & Brady all the way to north to Green Tree Road and back...and only my butt was hurting from the bike seat--the rest of me was fine. I was not sore at all.On Sunday we went all the way to the end of Grant Park in Cudahy and back--30 miles! It felt good! The bike trails are beautiful. We went another 20 miles last night and are planing to go out again tomorrow night. I think he's got me obsessed now. LOL. But that's ok, because I *really* need to lose weight and get in shape, and what an awesome way to do it!

I heard that the bike trail that goes along the lake here goes ALL the way down to Chicago. Now THAT'S hardcore biking.

Maybe someday. :P I was actually wondering if there was any way to bike from Madison to Milwaukee... maybe next summer!

I've ridden the last three days, and I love it... so I hope I keep it up.

Yes, and no...I asked Josh about it. Some of it is off-road bonafide bike trail, but some isn't. And some of the parts that are on roads don't have a shoulder and can involve heavy traffic. But if you wanted to do it, you still could. Yeah, that would be quite a trek...OY!
