Jelly Legs & Roses

I've always heard that Madison was good bike riding town, but wow.  My mom was kind enough to bring me my bicycle on Sunday, which I got in Colorado when I was 13 years old.  That said, it's a decent bike, but I haven't ridden it for at least five years, and even then it was just once or twice, I really haven't ridden it at all since high school

I really AM glad you never forget how to ride a bicycle.  I just took about a 30-40 minute ride towards work on the two-sided bike bath... and it's really nice and pretty.   I can't believe how long it's been since I've been on a bike... I'm a bit jelly legged, but not too bad.

I kinda want to warm up this week with the riding, otherwise I'll be exhausted by the time I get to work the first few times, but it's only a three mile ride (approx) one way.  I need acquire a helmet (which a fellow employee at work has offered to sell me for 10 bucks) and a bike lock... and besides for my developing leg muscles I'll be good to go for next weeks ride to work.

I see no reason not to ride to work three days a week (as long as the weather is decent).  Sure I'll be a bit sweaty, but I'll just have to bring a wash cloth, and a change of clothes to work on the hot days.  Hmmm, then I also need to acquire a backpack.  I don't have one anymore (except my large travel one).

I decided to go biking instead of jogging today... my new rule is that as long as I exercise three times a week it can be whatever I feel like: jogging, belly dancing, or biking.  That's a good start.

Oh, and my purple miniature rose is blooming on my porch. :)
