We got our first share today from the Madison Area Community Farm Share Coalition.

Awesome, I'm super excited.  Wee!  Tomorrow I'm gonna buy From Asparagus to Zucchini: A Guide to Cooking Farm-Fresh Seasonal Produce.

We split it our share with another couple but still we got a nice amount (and its the first week, so its a pretty small amount of the usual haul, according to our sources):

Spinach, mixed greens, radishes, garlic... thingies (I've never had them before, they are garlic stalks?  I can't remember), and a few other things, plus the friends we are sharing with also gave me a bag of strawberries from their garden.  Sweet, actually the strawberries are a bit sour but still tasty.

Jason made us really good asian noodle stir fry with deep fried tofu tonight for didnner, and he did a great job.  I have't tried cooking with tofu in ages, but it turned out really well.   Of course we had sesame asparagus on the side.. mmm asparagus.

Monday had a friend over to visit.  Had a nice time, went out to lunch, went shopping, and a drink or two at the pub in the early evening.

Tuesday night went out with a few girls from work and had a great time.  Making some friends here slowly, which is how it should be.  I have weekend plans with a few folks.

We had our bathtub reenameled this week, wasn't our first choice, but we discussed buying a new one but it was just too expensive.  We tore down the crappy waterboard around the tub before hand, so... our bathroom is gonna be in shambles for a bit until we put tiling in... in the next few months.  Oh well, at least it's usable.  And the tub looks 500 percent better... is that possible?

I feel like I've done nothing since I moved, but then I realize I've been here less than a month and half, and we have done a lot.  Including that I've been working full time for nearly a month.

A LOT on the "to do" yet: restart exercise program (didn't happen this week), finish painting dresser (started, but was thwarted by rain), paint the house... clean up the yard... oh it goes on and on.  I also want to find out whatever happenned with the library test I took, the results seem to have been "lost in the mail".  Church doesn't start up until fall, but I want to find a belly dance class here AND find a place to volunteer here one day a week.

Jason's off making music tonight so I'm just bumming with the kitties.  We got cable (tv) turned on this week so I'm off to watch the daily show/colbert report while I finish a bit o' laundry.
