Hanging in there (barely)

Jobs and money:
I spent a good portion of the day job searching. I went to eight different job servers (like Monster, CareerBuilder, HotJobs as well as some local and specialty sites) and only found eight jobs to send my resume to. The job market is not really there. I am applying to all sorts of jobs, not just graphic design. It is hard to find a job that will pay enough to support a family of five and I am still qualified for. Tomorrow I am going around to drop off some resumes to various businesses, just hoping they might have an unlisted position.

I have already gotten two friends who have sent me donations. God bless them. I cannot tell you how much your generosity means me to me.

Some news, Sydney got a small writing gig! It is not much, but she is writing a small blog piece about parenting twins for a local newspaper's website, once a week. It does not pay much, but it is a start and good experience. She already wrote her first piece, but I am not sure when it is being published.

Also, Sydney called up our cable/internet company and got them to push back the shut off date a couple of weeks so I can continue to job search and e-mail resumes.

With some good news, we have not made it yet. I still need all the luck we can get to find a job and not get evicted.

Summer's Pre-School:
Everybody is so excited. Summer starts her first day of preschool tomorrow (Monday). Summer goes in the morning three days a week. She has already drawn some pictures for the teacher and has written out her name for the first time. It is hard to believe that she is growing up so fast. Next year she will be in Kindergarten ... then the next year after that she will be graduating college.
