Vacation, day 8
Today, Summer, Abby, Emily and I went out to have fun. (Sydney, Clara and Fluffy stayed home). We drove to Chelsea where there was all sorts of activities going on. First we went to the Chelsea Teddy Bear Company and got a free tour our the factory/store/toy museum. The tour guide never ran the tour before but she tried her best to read the notes. The we walked down Main Street for the third annual Kids Read Comics Celebration. It had a number of artists including Raina Telgemeier, Dave Roman, Matt Feazell, Thom Zahler, William Messner-Loebs among others. There was artists doing free sketches, doing art lessons and various art/crafts activities. There was also a large bounce house and a rock climbing tower. The kids had a blast and so did I.
