Quick personal update
I wrote this whole big diary entry and then I accidently unplugged the computer. I will try to remember all of it in bullet point.
• Sydney has gone vegan for health and ethical reasons. I wish her all the luck, but as a vegetarian, but I really like eggs and dairy. As the kids are meat eaters, I am a vegetarian and Sydney a vegan, this is starting to make dinner difficult.
• Two of our pets have died recently. Our bunny Beatrix and our parakeet Pekoe were both really old and seemed to die peacefully of natural causes. They were very loved and spoiled and will be missed.
• Work has been busy the last few weeks, which is good. I love feeling productive. Next should be challenging as our news editor has left for a new opportunity. I also helped my boss by giving recommendations on a potential proof reader and a freelance writer.
• I am having budget woes again. In one week I had to buy a new muffler for my car and a new battery for the car. This paycheck already came and went and next paycheck is already spent too. I wonder if I will ever be caught up with the bills enough to actually save money.
• This Saturday, the family went to Fire Station Open House. It is a new station and they had all their engines out, ambulances, the surveil flight helicopter, various demonstrations and games for the kids. It did bring some mixed feelings about the fire we had years ago, but overall we had fun. Sunday the family went to grandma's house. Mom has been really cool lately.
