Alright....I am looking to start a regular poker game. I have enough of the "nice" chips to accomadate 4 players including myself. If I get more people who want to play then I'll order more chips. I am looking for serious players only. Not people who screw around and just toss money in or fold every hand. Here are the rules that I have for my game so far
1. Texas Hold Em Winner take all
For anyone who isnt clear on the Winner take all deal....here it goes. That buy in amount will be decided before we start playing, whether it be 10 or 20 dollars thats all the money you toss in. All players will put in equal amount and we will play till 1 player holds all the chips. This means no quitting at midnight becuase youre tired or no quitting after you win a couple of big hands and trying to cash out. There is no cashing out. If you for some reason have to quit or decide to quit before the end of the game then you chips will be sacrificed. They will be put out of play, and only the other 3 players chips will be used. The winner of the game will win all chips still in play plus those chips of anyone who had quit prior to the end. To make sure the game doesnt last a whole weekend, the house (being me) will come up with a predetermined time to end the game. Say like 3 AM. If by that time there is no one winner...then the chips will be cashed in. You will take home whatever you have left.
2. Food and beer
I will supply at least a couple of 12 packs of beer and hotdogs or hamburgers or soemthing to eat. Anything else I hope other players will help out with.
3. Okay I havent got the rest of the rules yet. if you get caught cheating which I seriously doubt since only my friends will be playing most likely, but if you do get cheating, your chips are sacrificed just as if you quit early and you will be banned from future games.
4. No assistance allowed from other players or non-players. We cant have someone sitting over someone's shoulder telling them how much to bet. this is not only lame, but close to cheating. If you don't know how to play poker I suggest you watch the rest of the people play till you understand then ask to play. I will teach anyone who wants to play. Keep in mind, im not an expert.
If anyone else has rule suggestions or complaints please let me know.
If anyone would like to sign up to play, comment on here, email me, or call me. Once I have enough players I will schedule a game.
