the long weekend...
its a blessing to have had a long weekend. i didnt do much but it was worth it. i did a lil reading which ive been dying to do. we also went to the cemetery where the whole family, well the remainder of our clan, got together to reflect on the special day we have for our dearly departed. i dunno if its just me but, it seems the the family ties that we filipinos are so proud of are starting to weaken and disappear as we grow older. i guess its a case to case basis but it was only this all saints day that our visit to the cemetery struck me most. coming home from the cemetery the other night gave me that happy joy joy feeling i can't explain. it brought back memories of the family getting together, just to spend time with each other. i never saw all saints day like that til now. it has always been hard for me to go to the cemetery. there's the traffic, the people, the feeling of discomfort coz it rains and it gets humid yada yada... basta this all saints day is different. hehehe! i never knew that i felt this way towards my family. sniff sniff... tumatanda na tayo! hehehehehe!
