So, yesterday in government, Mr. Kropf was reading an article to us about how in June of 2005, it is intirely likely that they will be re-inforcing the draft. He also mentioned that this time around, women might possibly be included, if the law is amended. It's not as easy to get out of as it was durinf Vietnam either. We have an agreement with Canada now, that stops U.S. citizens from going into Canada to escape the draft. Of course, I wanted to go deeper into the system, since I didn't want to believe that with turning 18 in 2 months, I would be eligible for the draft. Oredered to fight in a war that is pointless in the first place. We were lied to, and it sucks that after learning how our goverment REALLY works, I have to sit here and just take it in the ass like a man, because there is nothing I can do about our system.
Last night I had a dream that my mom called and said she got the letter in the mail that said I have been drafted. I swear to god it was so real. I even tried in my dream, to see if I was dreaming. I woke up with tears in my eyes, and THANK GOD I realised that it was just a dream. Anyway, I have to head off to class, but i'm going to link you to the website later, so you know this isn't all bullshit.
