i could've danced all night
right now i'm listening to a phone message, i think, from dan moyer's cell phone... his phone must have accidentally called mine because i can hear us yelling. the song is Maroon 5 doing Harder To Breathe, and we're yelling YEAH!!! and you can hear Erin laughing i think. then Dan yells John Mayer! and i go YEAH!!! and then me: Maroon 5! dan: MAROON!!! guy on stage: we gotta thank counting crows, dan: COUNTING CROWS!!!
holy cow what a good show. i had 12 new voice messages. including that aweseome one. seriously, one of the best experiences of my life. i felt so at ease and so engaged. perhaps the best moment was when (there were these really beautiful girls standing in front of us) counting crows started Anna begins and I was like man, i can't believe i'm about to hear this song in concert, and the beautiful girls point out the most beautiful one and says, Man, That's Anna! her name's Anna! i flipped out, because she was so good looking and such a big crows fan, and right there! for the first two songs Gabe let me sit in his 9th row aisle seat, and Adam started off with an acoustic Have You Seen Me Lately and then Richard Manuel Is Dead. then, right as i met up with dan again in our further back seats, acoustic Mr Jones. I've never rocked so hard to so many brilliant good songs. except perhaps in December. for which i will soon receive a recording... THAT i am really stoked for.
adam was on fire tonight, good ol ad, and dan totally called Holiday in Spain at the end. we pointed out adam's dad in hanging around. Rain King into Raining In Baltimore. Lordy the show rocked. i will be sore and voiceless tomorrow no doubt. man, i'm really not going to get over how beautiful anna is either. dan and i got really into yelling WILL BRILL and DAN MOYER!! at the stage during songs.
during john mayer, the highlight was the troll rendition of My Stupid Mouth, by Dan, Grayson, Blake and me. most memorably Blake's "Starting NOW! STARTING NOW! STARTING NOW! STARTING NOW!!" i saw lyndon, who's a beautiful australian from menlo. i saw anoush, kat, scotty, tori, lauren, kim - kiiiiim!, grayson's sister, noelle, sophia, chrissy, maddy, richard brose and brandon, ashley barrett, hayley agnew, kasey and connor of woodside..., melissa ruiz - also not at matt sobel's premiere, which i do regret not going to. however, this really did make my life more complete, this prime, prime concert.
i just thought of filming rides with alex brightman and ally at great america in Once Upon A Mattress with kelly mahan... good times.
dan and i were such hardcore dancers tonight, which made us hope the girls in front of us didn't think we were so flamboyant because you know... we were a couple. because we weren't a couple, is what i'm saying! you understand.
i heard that jason mraz thought the fillmore performance was one of his best. that makes me NEED a copy of it.
maroon 5 really really rose to the occasion by the way. the lead singer rang out ridiculously high and powerful notes super long. i definitely think highly of those guys and wouldn't mind getting my hands on a cd of theirs. i wouldn't mind actually just having a copy of this concert to tell the truth.
