Three Kings of Egypt

Wow! What a weekend! Saturday started out slow and relaxing with a later breakfast and some simple errands. Then it was trip to Ikea for a recon only...yep, made it through the entire store only taking notes and not spending any money. I don't have any place to keep the things I want/need to buy, but that will be changing.

So then it was up to Columbia to visit ren friends for the afternoon...rum, motorcycles (no, we didn't ride, just let them run and charge the batteries) and chinese food. Then it was off to Baltimore with more ren friends to a very interesting place called Three Kings of Egypt on Light Street.

Dinner started at about 10:30, with the belly dancer arriving about 11:30. No alcohol, but a variety of teas from all over the middle east. Beef, chicken and rice for dinner. Second hand smoke from pipes called sheesha loaded with a blend of tobacco and fruit and flowers...very sweet and cloying. I didn't try any myself. Loud music, fun people and getting to the sleep over at 4AM in Pasadena.

Another lazy breakfast today, and slow contemplation of life as chores go by and life goes on.

I'm tired, and a bit empty and missing the boys a lot. Planning and scheming for a decent sized place of my own as soon as possible so I can have them with me for a weekend of our own.

I'm very touched by all the blessings I've received from LJ and email and cell phones and face2face.

The dryer has stopped. Bed soon. Work tomorrow.

Another day.
