Just for the record

Is this your first application here or are you re-applying? (If you are re-applying and DO NOT want to receive the same stamp again, please also state who you've been stamped as before) First application here. :)
Which season(s) do you want to get character votes from? It doesn't matter to me.
I want to be voted as [male/female/doesn't matter]: It also doesn't matter to me. :p

BASICS

Name: Megan Crivello-Khan
Gender: I AM A LADY.
Date of birth: March 21, 1984
Likes: Ballroom dancing, Tai Chi, playing string instruments, singing, speed skating, languages (Latin, Greek), field hockey, snow, Bollywood, French musicals
Dislikes: Ignorance, arguements over petty things, hangovers, people who use words the wrong way (this is, btw, what happens to you when you study Latin and Greek - you turn into Word Nazi. :p)
Describe yourself in 5 words: EVERYONE LOOK AT ME NOW. :p

THIS OR THAT
(Please provide a short explanation as well)

Optimistic or pessimistic? Optimistic. If the world is going to end tomorrow I plan on PARTYING FIRST DAMMIT.
Leader or follower? I'm usually okay with following, but I have no patience for stupid people. If someone isn't handling things correctly, I WILL shove their ass out of the way and take over.
Introvert or extrovert? Extroverted in the extreme. I alternate between teaching and lifeguarding at a major water park, so I kind of need to be. And I love doing stuff with friends and family, I really can't bear to spend weekends, or even weeknights, alone.
Mature or immature? Hard to say here - My co-workers and people who don't know me well would say mature, but I'm sure family and friends would say immature. I think I'm mature when I need to be, but I enjoy being immature when I can be. I'm definitely able to turn it on and off though.
Violent or peaceful? Peaceful, until you threaten someone that I love. The idea of violence is disgusting to me - I can't even bring myself to kill spiders without feeling bad afterwards - but I can say without any doubts that I would tear someone's throat out to save a loved one.
Selfish or altruistic? I think I fall in between. Actually, to be honest, I think that I'm more vain than anything, so I'm selfish when it comes to attention. But I'm very giving with time, money, etc.
Rude or polite? Polite. I may be outspoken, but I feel that the quickest way to lose any credibility or support at all is to act like a jerk.
Eat here or take away? Take away. Not by choice though - my husband and I are just way too busy to sit down most of the time. We do a lot of eating while walking from one place to another, it comes from living in a college town.

MISC.

What do you consider to be your one very best trait and why? My loyalty. If you've earned my friendship and trust, you have it forever, and I will fight tooth and nail for you. I am VERY devoted to those who have earned that honor.
And what do you think is your worst? My quick temper/judegemental attitude. It's sort of the flip side of being loyal, the idea that once you get on my bad side, good luck getting me to support you in any way. And I can be a BITCH to those I think badly of.
If you could change one thing about yourself or your life, what would it be? I'm awfully childish at times, and I certainly don't always think things through. I wish I was better at that... so far I've been pretty good at getting myself out of the problems I've gotten myself into, but that won't necessarily always be the case...
If you could be any inanimate object, what would you be and why? A mountain bike, hopefully with a really active owner, so I could still go on adventures.
What element do you most identify with and why? Air. The idea of freshness, of freedom, of flight - even of scent, the most powerful way to bring back memories, carried by the wind.

LOST

Providing food and water is not an issue, which three items would you want to have with you on the island? Please elaborate.
My dog - as long as there's food and water for us both, I would feel safer and less lonely for my family.
My ipod - I would die without music. It would only have a limited battery life, but maybe I could find a recharger at one of the DHARMA stations, or something. :p
A really long book in Latin or Greek - I could keep busy translating one of those things for MONTHS.
Which Lost character do you personally think is most suited to be everyone’s leader and why? Jack. I guess because the show seems to want him to be the leader. :p Ok, seriously, I almost feel like it's his destiny. He was doing so well in a leadership position on the island, and then suddenly everything crashed and burned for him once he got home. That's gotta mean something, right?
Would YOU accept this position? Why? Why not? Good God, no! I am WELL aware that I am not suited for the position. I care about others, and I'd want to do the best for them, but my childishness and lack of forethought would have me leading my group down the road to ruin reaaaaaal quick. :p
Which Lost character do you least identify with and why? Ben. I can't imagine ever being that manipulative.

Anything else you would like to add?
I really hope I get this stamped in time to join in on the mirror theme, but if not, oh well. :)
