I woke up this morning feeling like I'd been chain smoking the previous night. Being that I haven't smoked in several days, I had the feeling that wasn't the problem. Then I realized: it's the first week of September.
You could lock me in a closet for years, with no way of telling time, but every year, I would always know the first week of September. Because every year, without fail, I get sick, the first week of September. And this one is no exception apparently. Sucks.
I'm going to hit the next person who says "Well, that's what you get for living in a flood plain, serves them right."
You have been warned. Most of them couldn't get out when a damned hurricane was coming, what makes people think it was any different without the threat of impending death and destruction.
Sorry, moment of compassion there.
One would think that with all the bitching about Bush that happens all the time, Just or unjust, people would just get used to it. But apparently one guy says something and everyone freaks.
I do not think Bush hates black people. I think it's the lower class crowd that he has issues with. Perhaps hate is a strong word, but he sure as hell doesn't have any love for them.
Yea, in short, I have issues with the whole situation. My faith in humanity keeps jumping. One moment I'm seeing a guy standing in front of the shelter with a sign written on a flattened box that said "we need food," and the entire town coming to the rescue. Then the next there's the political side of things.
Kai appears to be both terrified and fascinated by the TV.
