“Oh Sehun! Why?!” Jongdae screams as soon as he sees Sehun lying on his bed still wearing his shoes, carelessly looking through his collection of One Piece mangas.
The boy looks up at him, face blank like a new piece of paper, he stares at Jongdae for about ten seconds and his attention is fully back at the comics on his hands.
“Give it back, I didn’t let you touch them. Give it back!” Jongdae rushes towards Sehun and tries to take the manga out of his hands, it splits in half and Jongdae yells, loudly, very very loudly.
The other members run to see if someone’s being murdered, but they just witness Jongdae flailing his arms up and down while Sehun tries to get out of the room.
The next day when Jongdae wakes up there’s another copy of One Piece volume 70 at his doorknob, Sehun sighs in relief while he peeks from his own room, good thing he decided not to play with the first volumes.
They’re at the practice room, Baekhyun and Chanyeol had the brilliant idea in which they’d go out and get them some food. Apparently, they’re taking a lot of time to come back and the rest of the members just decided to end practice and go back to their dorms.
Not Jongdae though.
Their comeback is slowly approaching, but he still thinks he needs to improve, a lot, that’s why he stayed behind, for two additional hours.
He slumps on the wooden floor when he feels that his legs can’t take it anymore, his eyes travel from the mirror to the exit door, and in between he sees the black leather couch, and someone leaning against it while sleeping; and snoring.
It’s Sehun and he looks less threatening like this, with his eyes closed and steady breathing.
He nudges the boy’s shoulder and Sehun stirs on his sleep, eyelids opening slowly as he yawns.
“What time is it?” he asks and Jongdae glances at the clock hanging on the white walls.
“It’s past eleven, why are you here?” Sehun takes out his beanie and looks around, the room is empty aside from the panting guy in front of him.
“Not waiting for you.” he points out at Jongdae and gets up. “Let’s go, I’m hungry.”
Jongdae walks step by step behind Sehun, his legs are still aching. but he looks at the boy in front of him, the one taking glances once in a while to check if he’s okay, and smiles.
They’re going to China for four days, Jongdae is passing by the security, he needs to take off his shoes and this is not, by any means, fun, but Sehun keeps laughing at him.
It’s when he’s putting on his shoes when Sehun comes from behind and gives him a little (not really gentle) shove and he stumbles on his unlaced shoelaces and falls, face flat to the airport floor. The fans around them snaps picture with their expensive cameras and Jongdae just wants to hide somewhere.
“Oh Sehun! Why?” he pinches the boy's arm when they enter the plane and the latter just stares at his face like always, challenging him with his piercing gaze to do it again.
Jongdae takes a sit by the window and Sehun decides to sit right beside him.
“Shut up and let me sleep.” Sehun snaps before Jongdae says a single word, the younger’s mood is a confusing subject to Jongdae, so he just remains quiet.
Jongdae wakes up with Sehun clinging to his arm, stupid grin on his face like it’s the best pillow ever produced.
“Hyung, go get me some bubble tea.” Sehun waves his hands like Jongdae is some kind of pet or slave he can order around. He has his legs resting at the coffee table, the same place as Jongdae’s new jacket is.
He’s tired of having to deal with this ass of a maknae ordering him around, but worst than demanding Sehun, is whiny Sehun. Jongdae grabs his jacket and checks his wallet before closing the door and heading to get the wanted bubble tea.
Good thing the store is just two blocks away.
Good thing that when he comes back with his two hands full, one for Sehun and one for him, he just didn’t go to not get himself something too, the boy is napping on the couch.
And the rest of the members are nowhere to be seen. Maybe they are all sleeping, or maybe they went out to a karaoke without giving further notice.
Jongdae nudges Sehun’s leg with his right foot and the youngest grips tightly at him, luckily Jongdae is not holding the cups, because he loses his balance and falls on his butt with a loud yelp leaving his mouth.
“Oh Sehun! What was that for?” Sehun sits up and rubs his sleepy lids.
“I like to see you in pain sometimes.” the disbelief that flashes on his expression doesn’t waver a single thing on Sehun's face. “Where’s my drink?”
Jongdae takes the cup from the table and throws it at Sehun, he’s not dealing with this kind of things that the boy says.
Not today. Jongdae slams the door of his shared room with Yixing. Nope, not putting up with Sehun’s shit today.
“Hyung, I got us ice cream!” Sehun jumps around the living room, and the other members look judgingly at the maknae.
“Thanks Sehun.” Joonmyeon and Luhan say at the same time and Sehun stops jumping.
“Hyung, where are you?” Sehun asks again, louder.
“Here!” Luhan looks at Joonmyeon who looks back at him, both look at Sehun and the boy smiles.
“Hyung!” Sehun waves the ice cream cup. “Excuse me, ahjussis.”
He passes the flabbergasted hyungs and finds Jongdae walking back and forth, eyes glued to the screen of his cell phone and he ignores Sehun’s attempts to catch his attention.
“Hyung, ice cream. Hyung-” Jongdae raises a hand and he doesn’t look up.
“Shush Sehun. I’m busy.” Jongdae viciously taps the screen and Sehun nears him to glance at what’s taking all of his hyung’s attention.
Flappy Bird……
Jongdae is playing Flappy Bird.
Jongdae is playing Flappy Bird and totally ignoring Sehun. Not cool.
Not cool is what Sehun decides to do, he gets what he wants, and the other members are just watching it from afar. Luhan and Joonmyeon having a sad talk somewhere.
Chanyeol is laughing already, like he knows what will be the maknae’s next move.
Jongdae walks some more and sits at the couch, Sehun sits beside him and he shoves the ice cream up Jongdae’s serious face.
He puts the cell phone down and looks (glares) at Sehun, who’s smiling cutely at him.
“Oh Sehun! Why?” his voice can be heard from the other side of the street.
“I know you have to put up with my shit, I’m your best friend it came in the package, but isn’t Sehun a little too much?” Baekhyun is sitting on Jongdae’s bed, munching on some of his Saewookkang packs from his secret food hideout. Jongdae is not amused by his actions.
“Stop eating my food. Why did you come here?” Jongdae is impatient, Baekhyun saying he ‘wants to talk’ is not a good thing and Baekhyun stealing his after practice snacks is not funny.
“Why do you bother to bear with Sehun? This is seriously worrying me.” he huffs and falls back into the bed.
“Are you jealous? Don’t worry Baek, he’s not stealing your best friend spot.” Baekhyun snorts and spits some brans on Jongdae’s bed sheets. “I bother because I care about him, and maybe I like him and I don’t know, stop confusing my poor little brain.”
The door cracks opened and blond locks come in sight, it’s obvious that it’s Sehun and the boy runs.
The loud crash of something breaking startle the two friends who were about to keep chatting.
Jongdae walks faster than usual to the living room. He looks in horror at the ground.
His collection of porcelain cats are all broken, his precious porcelain pets, the ones his mom gives him at each year.
“Oh Sehun! Why?” Jongdae shouts and all the EXO boys peek through their rooms.
Jongdae likes Sehun’s attention, a lot more that he’d like to admit.
But not now.
Maybe in a few minutes, after he gathers all the smithereens from the floor. Sehun can’t step on them and hurt his feet.
Sehun sneaks at him and taps Jongdae’s butt with his foot, startled, all the smithereens fall back to their previous place.
